As the Planning and Allocating agent you will be responsible for the replenishment of resell supplement products from supplier partners and all associated activities. The Planner exercises independent judgement to ensure customer and internal business needs are met within the scope of the department responsibilities. The Planner will be responsible for building effective and productive relationships with our existing vendor partners, while maintaining a high service level to our customers. This position will support the current product re-buying team’s resupply efforts by performing data entry, demand analysis, creating purchase order requisitions, assisting in the launch of new products, performing price adjustments, tracking product delivery and working with other internal departments to ensure an accurate fulfillment process. The Planner will also provide assistance in communicating and disposition follow up with our Supplier partners regarding inbound discrepancies such as overages, damages, shipping and freight issues.


What you’ll do:

  • Forecasting and re-buying of supplier products, purchase order processing, data entry, supporting marketing opportunities and order tracking.
  • Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships. Assist with service level and purchase history reports for internal measurements and to share with vendor partners.
  • Ensure that product ordering enables efficient distribution and work planning for shipping and receiving operations.
  • Able to accurately forecast demand and communicate trend shifts to supplier partners
  • Keep all supplier files,contacts and system pricing current. 
  • Work with the Accounts Payable department and our supplier partners to reconcile supplier invoices, billing issues and price variances
  • Measure supplier fill rate, inventory turn, track backordered items, and work with suppliers to expedite shipments when necessary. 
  • Help expedite resolution of shipping issues while communicating with the finance department, the receiving department and our supplier partners


What you bring to the table:

  • Prior experience in Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain functions preferred.
  • Financial/math acumen with the ability to handle discounts,margin pricing and analysis.
  • Able to perform at a high capacity in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude. 
  • Attention to details, strong written communication skills and reliable and predictable attendance
  • MS Office skills, Strong Excel knowledge. Familiar with Netsuite ERP  a ++.
