We’re seeking a Manager - Total Rewards to have a solid background in compensation and benefits, including base compensation, short term and long term incentives, retirement plans and heath/ extended health benefits for both the United States and Canada. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has strong time management and self-accountability. 


As the Manager - Total Rewards you will enhance the organization’s talent and culture by developing, implementing, and evaluating all North American compensation and benefits.  You will be a key stakeholder for North American total rewards strategy.


What you’ll do:

  • Manages the development, implementation and administration of compensation and benefit programs.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation and benefits practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives.
  • Provides advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
  • Designs creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs and incentive plans.
  • Oversees the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
  • Ensures compliance with province and federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations.
  • Reviews and analyzes the benefits market in the US and Canada to determine employee needs, trends, regulations and practices, and develops competitive programs and services to meet company goals.
  • Directs preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of benefits programs such as insurance plans, pension plans, RRSP, 401(k), life and special employer-sponsored plans.
  • Identifies and selects carriers and plans based on quotes, available benefits, and prior experience.
  • Monitors administrators’ and insurance carriers’ reports to ensure the organization’s compliance with plan requirements.
  • Ensures the organization’s and plans’ compliance with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
  • Maintains knowledge of north american trends, developments, and best practices in compensation and benefits administration.


What you bring to the table:

    • 5+ years of experience with North American compensation and benefits practices.
    • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment
  • Knowledge of all province, federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use g suite products
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior management.
